Nouvelle-Aquitaine

In Nouvelle-Aquitaine bunkers are to be found mainly in the city of La Rochelle, being the most important city in the region, and on both banks of the Gironde estuary sealing off the route to port city Bordeaux. Other sites are situated further south in the direction of Bayonne. The area consisted of 4 Stützpunktgruppen, 1 Verteidigungsbereich and 2 Festungen.
