In Zeeland bunkers were mainly concentrated along the coast as well. The coastal area consisted of 3 Stützpunktgruppen and one Verteidigungsbreich. In this region some interesting bunkers and obstacles still remain. In our opinion they are unique to Holland and in some cases, unique to the rest of Europe. These are the type L 484 on the island Schouwen Duiveland, type 143 in village Zoutelande and type M 145 in village Dishoek. Bunker village in castle-forest Burgh-Haamstede and the Groede complex on the island Voorne for example, are interesting as a whole, because the high concentration of bunkers. The landfront Verteidigungsbereich Vlissingen deserve special attention, because of the infantry strongpoints in combination with obstacles.
